The BAFA (Brevet d'Aptitude à la Poste Animateur) is a diploma which allows young people to occasionally lead leisure activities with children in collective reception centers for minors and extra-curricular times.

- Ensure the safety of children and young people

- Work as a team to implement an educational project

- Build a calm and trusting relationship with children and young people

- Supervise and animate daily life

- Support young people (young and old) in the realization of their projects

The training takes place in three stages for the BAFA:

- A basic course (general training, 8 days)

- A practical internship in Collective Reception for Minors or on vacation (14 days minimum)

- An in-depth course (6 days)

The training takes place in 4 stages for the BAFD:

- A general training course (9 days)

- A practical internship (14 effective days, in France)

- A refresher course (6 days)

- A second practical internship (14 effective days, in France)

At the end of the training, the candidate draws up a training report which he submits to the jury with a view to obtaining the diploma.
